Key Responsibilities

• Assist with daily stores activities (receiving & processing of material requests) in accordance with laid down processes & procedures.
• Ensure stock accuracy when issuing, pre-packing, dispatching and receiving of stock to/from divisions/branches, production team & suppliers in accordance with laid down processes & procedures.
• Responsible for stock bin quantities and maintenance.
• Assist with annual and cyclical stock counts.
• Collect & deliver stock from suppliers and to site when required.
• Assist buyer with the processing of supplier stock purchases and receipts using the computerised stock control software program and system.
• Assist buyer with determining accurate Lead times from suppliers on stock ordered.
• Compile & update supplier backorder reports weekly for distribution to the divisions/branches, production team.
• Assist buyer with the processing of stock returns from the divisions/branches, production team using the computerised stock control software program and system.
• Assist buyer with the process flow of finalised supplier invoices.
• General administration and filing stores and buying.
• Fill in for Buyer/Stores Controller as/when required.
• Willingness to do overtime and Saturday work when necessary.
• Additional activities & responsibilities will be discussed at interview.

Requirements

• Previous Stock control/buying experience essential.
• Valid Code 8 driver’s license essential.
• Previous use/experience of stores/buying software program’s essential.
• Must be able to start 1^st October latest.

Knowledge & Experience Required

• Minimum of 2+ years of experience within a warehouse/stores environment.
• Computer literate. (Advanced Excel essential/Word/Outlook).
• Fluent in both English and Afrikaans.
• Ability to multi-task, maintain a high degree of accuracy, meet demanding deadlines and work under pressure.

Qualification Accreditation

• Minimum of Grade 12 / Matric
• Degree/Diploma in warehouse/logistics will be an advantage.
